Australia brings in 2019 with a bang

Skylines across Australia have lit up with tonnes of fireworks as people across the nation ushered in 2019. The Sydney Harbor Bridge was again at the forefront of Australia's New Years Eve celebrations. The fireworks display, which cost $5.8 million dollars to produce this year, is estimated to be worth $133 million to the local economy each year. People flocked to spots around the harbour, hours in advance, to try and find a good viewing spot. Some secured their spots especially early, despite high temperatures the night before.
