Budget promise of apprentice subsidy welcomed but concerns still over future for younger workers

The federal government has made a budget commitment to create 100,000 apprenticeships through a wage subsidy scheme. Employment Minister Michaelia Cash says the aim is to reduce youth unemployment during the pandemic.
