Climate bill gains momentum and clears lower house

The government has passed its climate bill through the lower house, securing a win on the final sitting day of the fortnight, working with the crossbench to lock in amendments. It means Labor is one step closer to legislating its 43 percent by 2030 emissions reduction target, with the bill to go to the Senate next month.
