Far-right extremist attacks in Western countries are at their highest level in 50 years, a situation that’s expected to continue in light of economic downturns caused by the coronavirus pandemic. In its annual Global Terrorism Index, the Institute for Economics and Peace is warning financial instability can often manifest through social unrest and violence.
