France proposes changes to EU accession methodology

Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov has commented on the government's stance on the document by which France proposes a change to the EU accession methodology. He says there are good ideas in the French document, but also ones that will not be easy to implement. Western Balkans expert Florian Bieber thinks that while the French idea is problematic, the document still has some good points. One is sectoral integration, as it can enable states to benefit before membership itself.
