The federal government says it won't be backing away from its plan to introduce laws that would force Facebook to pay for news that appears in people's feeds. Facebook's decision to block content from Australian news organisations also affected non-news pages, including from government health departments, women’s legal service 1800 RESPECT and Western Australia’s fire and emergency services department.
