Gravitational Waves: Australian scientists first to confirm radio signals from two colliding stars

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, two dead stars collided, and the cataclysmic explosion has only just been witnessed by scientists on Earth. It's being called one of the greatest scientific events in recent history and the avalanche of data it has resulted in is helping scientists to unlock some of the mysteries of the universe.
