Kire Pashovski, one of several past presidents of The Macedonian Cultural and Artistic Association Ilinden in Sydney, says the young generations are now in love with Macedonian folklore and that he is very pleased to have played a part in it. Mr Pashovski remembers the dance parties in the 70-ties at the Police Youth Club in Rockdale, when hundreds, at times over a thousand people would turn up. There was no air to breathe! recalls Mr Pashovski. They would make up to $5,000 for two dance parties on the weekends. Kire Pashovski is now in his late 80-ties but past memories of the largest folkloric Macedonian association abroad are still very fresh
