Jim Thomev, Melbourne author, poet, linguist, former English teacher and the first Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Macedonian Weekly, describes the golden years of the Australian Macedonian Theatre Group of the 80's and the wonderful years of creation that spanned a decade that few can forget. The memorable plays 'Kume Krle Trts', 'Krvta Ne Se Praj Voda', 'Pogodi Dogodi', 'Makedonecot', 'Zimi Vas', 'Sushata', 'Sram Ces i Red', 'Kuchinjata Lajat' are just some of the dramas and comedies through which the lives of the Macedonian diaspora in Australia came to life on the big stage. Jim Thomev also gives a broader account of the inspiration behind his radio drama 'Mudri Zeni', a 'play on words', which will air on SBS Macedonian, Thursday 29th of June at 12.30 pm. (1224 AM)
