Learning Macedonian in Shepparton

'Our main goal is to preserve our roots and our material and spiritual heritage, because it is through the language that we show who we are and what we are,' Katerina Poulos, a Macedonian language teacher at the Victorian School of Languages. The knowledge of mother tongue, that is, the language of the parents, plays a big role in children’s development and the cultural heritage connects many Macedonian generations.
