Macedonian historians react: Ilinden cannot be celebrated together with Bulgaria

Zoran Zaev's visit to Bulgaria and the announcement of signing an agreement on inter-neighbourly relations during the planned joint celebration of Ilinden this year in Macedonia, has met with fierce reactions among some Macedonian historians, professors and academics. The newly elected Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said he would overcome historic differences with Bulgaria and Greece to facilitate Macedonia's entry to the EU and NATO.
