The BBC's article on the existence of a Macedonian minority in Greece is "an internal matter and subject of Greek debate," said Nikola Dimitrov during his interview on the Greek television station SKAI

Asked by the the journalist whether  ‘North  Macedonia feels that there is a North-Macedonian minority in Greece and is obliged to protect it’, Dimitrov replied:

"Both sides, both Athens and Skopje, agreed that we will not interfere in such issues and in our internal matters  and we have to respect that. We agreed on that and now it is part of our constitution. So, here  I see the fourth point of the agreement, saying that we agree not to interfere with the neighbor's internal affairs. The BBC's text and the issues it raised is something  for the  Greek internal political dialogue, perhaps it is a matter of international obligations, but it should be a topic of Greek debate’, said the Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov
