Manningham Council's Macedonian pensioners bring in the New Year

Over 130 members of the Macedonian Pensioner Group in Doncaster attended the New Year's event at the Ajani Centre in Lower Templestowe, where guests were treated to non-stop traditional dances by Silver Band well into the first day of 2020. Members young and old held hands and stayed true to the age old drum beats as the new year replaced the old. Amid the authentic sounds of customary Aegean songs and dances, elderly members enjoyed a three course dinner and lottery, as re-elected president Seika Eminagova announced she has plans for new activities and information sessions dedicated to their well-being. The evening was attended by Dr. Chris Popov and wife Nada, founding member of the club and Macedonian Orthodox Church of St. George in Fitzroy John George Andreou, as well as Silva Star Mercedes Benz representative Vicky Lever.
