Meto Koloski: 2020 US Census without questions on religion, country of birth, language and ancestry

UMD President Meto Koloski with the 2020 US Census handbook in Macedonian Source: UMD
This year, among those who stand to be counted in the 2020 US National Census are Americans of Macedonian heritage who began migrating to the US more than a hundred years ago. The United Macedonian Diaspora, a partner in the census, says the real number is close to half a million. UMD President Meto Koloski says the role of the UMD in the current Census, which will run until the end of June, is to encourage members of the Macedonian community to declare their true heritage. Mr. Koloski adds the US Census differs from the Australian version in that it excludes questions on religion, country of birth, language and ancestry.
