Pendarovski and Siljanovska-Davkova neck and neck in Macedonia’s presidential race

In a lowest presidential election turnout to date, the ruling Social Democratic Union of Macedonia's candidate Stevo Pendarovski was on 44,7 percent of the vote with his rival Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova of the opposition’s VMRO-DPMNE on 44,3 percent. Blerim Reka the candidate of BESA and Alliance for Albanians garnered about 11 percent, according the State Electioral Commission’s statement after counting 99 percent of the votes. Pendarovski and Siljanovska will be competing in second voting round on May 5
