Ranking of private health insurance to 'benefit patients'

The Federal Government has denied patients will be worse off under its new tiered structure for the private health insurance system. Minimum hospital treatment coverage will be classed in four bands -- gold, silver, bronze and basic -- under the changes, which will come into effect from April next year .
