The first female president of The Macedonian Cultural & Artistic Association 'Ilinden' tells us, her family lived in Newtown, Sydney where her children had only Australian friends and very rare contact with other children of Macedonian background.After relative's suggestion she enroled her two sons, Blagojche and Alexandar, in Ilinden as the folkloric group was short of boys . Mrs Josifovska sais the steps, the music, the rytham, the friendship… everything seemed deeply ingrained in the her boys. It is very important to know our heritage and where we come from - sais the first female president of the Macedonian largest cultural and artistic association abroad
