Tamara’s omitting of Goce Delcev’s name from the national anthem caused an avalanche of negative reactions in Macedonia

Tamara Todevska’s interpretation of the Macedonian national anthem during an event at the American Embassy in Skopje plunges Macedonia into a new scandal. Tamara omitted the part of the official version of the anthem, where Macedonian revolutionaries Goce Delcev, Pitu Guli, Dame Gruev and Jane Sandanski are mentioned. Following the negative reactions provoked by that on social media, both Tamara and the American embassy apologised for what they call “an unintentional mistake”.
