The first Australians and Afghan visa holders have been rescued from Kabul by Australian forces. It's the first of many flights expected to airlift hundreds from the Afghan capital. The Taliban has commuted to provide them safe passage, but an interpreter who says he worked with the Australian Defence Force has told SBS News he was shot near the airport and has been treated for serious leg wounds.
