The first Macedonian Ethnic School in NSW “11ti Oktomvri” celebrates 40 years

The school opened its doors to the Macedonian public on the 26th of June 1976, becoming the first Macedonian Community Language School in NSW. The establishment of 11ti Oktomvriin Yagoona was initiated by Petre Jankulovski, Vangel Nastevski and Andrea Hrstik, with the first teachers being Vaska Todorovska and Apostol Apostolovski. The Macedonian school in Yagoona was and continues to be financed by the Department of Education of NSW and the families of students who attend 11ti Oktomvri.Teacher Meri Petkovska sais big thanks goes to everyone involved, especially the parents and grandparents who support and ecourage the cultural learning
