The mission to plug the world's millions of abandoned oil wells

Oil and gas drilling for more than a century has left behind millions of abandoned wells around the world, many of which are still leaking potent greenhouse gases like methane. There are more than two million such wells in the United States alone. There's one not-for-profit company which is trying to plug some of these wells.
