Victoria Police uncover begging scam

Victoria Police says it has cracked a sophisticated operation of fake beggars who have travelled from China. Police allege seven Chinese nationals travelling on tourist visas have been begging on the streets of Melbourne’s CBD. Homelessness advocates say the incident is an insult to people who are genuinely sleeping rough.
