"Studying Macedonian helped me in preserving my cultural identity. It has opened for me a window to an entirely new world, to a tradition rich in cultural customs and colours" - says 13-year-old Stefan Buzevski from Melbourne. He is one of the many students that have been attending Macedonian classes through the VSL in Thomastown. We talked to some of them about the reasons they have chosen to study Macedonian as their second language in Australia.
