World high rates of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder among incarcerated youth

Nearly 90 per cent of imprisoned youths have severe neurological development problems, according to research by one of Australia's leading children's research centres. The study, by the Telethon Kids Institute, is the first of its kind in Australia. The study is aimed at looking at ways to improve the detection and support of children with what's been labelled an "Invisible Disability".
