Abbot Gavril from Melbourne was ordained archimandrite of the Macedonian Orthodox Church

The Macedonian Orthodox Church received another archimandrite in its ranks, the abbot Gavril Galev, who is part of the Australian - Sydney Eparchy of the MOC - OA

The ceremony was performed on Friday, November 10, when the church celebrated the memory of the Holy Parasceva Iconium.The holy  liturgy and the act of ordination took place in the monastery "St. George" in Kumanovo.

 Future bishops of the The Macedonian Orthodox Church are chosen from the ranks of archimandrites.

There are several other archimandrites in The MOC, besides Fr Gavril Galev.

The newly elected archimandrite Gavril has already returned to Melbourne among his pilgrims and held the first holy service in the monastery "St. Clement of Ohrid" in Kinglake.
