Another 24 people have died from COVID-19 in NSW and Victoria as cases grow

Victoria has recorded almost 38,000 new COVID-19 cases while NSW has reported 25,870. It comes as unions call for an urgent meeting with the prime minister to discuss the impact of Omicron's spread on frontline workers.
