Australia will reportedly encourage its security partners to ramp up efforts to tackle online child exploitation material at a meeting in London.
Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton will stress the importance of the issue when he meets with representatives from the Five Eyes intelligence network in London on Monday.
The group includes the United States, Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Australia's leadership on the issue comes after the Australian Federal Police experienced a doubling in reports of online child exploitation last year.
"There needs to be greater international engagement in the battle against child exploitation," Mr Dutton told The Australian ahead of flying to London.
"Now with the internet, pay-per-view, they (offenders) can direct material and have it live-streamed into their bedrooms.
"The bigger picture is how we can disrupt these networks."
