A body has been discovered by lifeguards submerged in water at Maroubra Beach in Sydney today.
In a statement New South Wales police said that a coordinated search for a 26-year-old man, who went missing from the beach on Tuesday 14 February 2017, resumed this morning (Thursday 16 February 2017).
Police say the body of a man was found by lifeguards under a rock ledge at Mahon Pools around midday.
The body is yet to be formally identified.
26-year-old Sudeep Uprety and 23-year-old Shristi Bhandari are reported to have been swimming in the area on Monday night, before being reported as missing.
Shristi's body was found on Maroubra beach on Tuesday morning by a jogger.
