The 22-year-old student was reported to have swept off the rocks and into the ocean at the Figure Eight Pools, a popular tourist attraction in Sydney’s south on February 25.
According to New South Wales Police, a bushwalker located the body on Monday 1st April, around 800 meters south from where the student was reported to have gone missing.
The body was retrieved around midday yesterday.
Despite the body yet to be formally identified, NSW Police believe the body is that of the Nepali student who was with his friends at the time of the incident over a month ago.
Another person aged in his 20s had also been swept away with the 22-year-old but had managed to climb back to safety with minor lacerations.

"The pair were with three other people at the time of the incident but they were not injured", Chief inspector Darren Brown from Wollongong Police district had said at the time.
NSW Parks and Wildlife Service had set the wave risk forecast to "extreme" on the day the students were swept into the ocean.
It had advised visitors not to visit Figure Eight Pools "because it's underwater" and that "waves are washing over the whole rock shelf."
NSW Police have urged visitors to the Royal National Park to check weather conditions and tide times before heading out.

Twenty-one-year-old Bigul Pandit went missing from the banks of the Murray River at Noreuil Park on January 9 when playing with his friends.
In a separate incident on January 27, another Nepali man in his twenties lost his life while swimming at Bents Basin near Wallacia in New South Wales.
Another Nepali, Nischal Ghimire, who was also in his twenties and had been living in Adelaide, also lost his life by drowning in December last year.
