Federal police won't charge Canberra journalist

A News Corporation journalist whose home was controversially raided by the Australian Federal Police won't face charges for reporting on classified plans to expand spying powers.

The AFP says there is insufficient evidence to lay charges against reporter Annika Smethurst or anyone else.

But police are continuing with another separate investigation regarding two ABC reporters.
