International students contribute 12 billion dollars to Victorian economy

In 2018, the Victorian government-generated nearly 12 billion dollars in export revenue from the international education sector leaving behind tourism and wool exports.

Nepal made seventh into the list of top countries sending their 8,542 students to Victoria in 2018 with China (88,401) and India (50,463) leading. 

Another Southasian nation Srilanka (9,541) was fifth while Pakistan (6,346) rounded up the top ten.
