Luke Foley has resigned as New South Wales Labor leader.
It came hours after the journalist at the center of sexual harassment allegations against Mr Foley publicly detailed her claims for the first time.
The A-B-C's Ashleigh Raper says the reported incident, which had previously been raised under parliamentary privilege, happened at a party in 2016.
Ms Raper alleges Mr Foley reached inside her underpants and rested his hand there.
Mr Foley denies the allegations and says he'll file a defamation lawsuit.
Mr Foley says while he maintains his innocence, it would've been hard to clear his name while also leading the NSW opposition into March's state election.
Mr Foley says he'll remain as the member for Auburn.
His replacement as NSW Labor leader is yet to be determined.
