In a tiny, makeshift temple in the back of a house in Sydney's west, a young Nepali-Australian couple is becoming husband and wife.

Their backyard wedding has all the colours and traditions of a typical Hindu service but is carried on a much smaller scale.

Some two dozen guests pale in comparison to typical Hindu weddings, which can sometimes bring together over a thousand people. And while some celebrations last for several days, this one is over in two hours.
