Spelling error in circulated $50 bank notes

A batch of $50 notes circulating through Australia's cash economy have a couple of spelling errors in the fine print.

The Reserve Bank of Australia has confirmed the word "responsibility" was misspelt repeatedly on each note before they entered circulation last year.

A spokesperson for the bank on Friday said the error would be corrected at the next print run.
