Air pollution in Kathmandu hits record high

Kathmandu air quality became the world’s worst this week as the city was covered with thick fog on Monday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) reached a record high of 600. As per the World Health Organisation, AQI more than 300 is considered hazardous and health warnings of emergency conditions are applied.
