Following the Administrative Appeals Tribunal's decision to reinstate the visa of a New Zealand national found guilty of rape, the government is facing increasing pressure over immigration issues. The Coalition is urging the federal government to reverse a ministerial directive that requires courts to consider an individual's ties to Australia when reviewing visa cancellations.
