Don't avoid cancer screening tests, says Cancer Council of Australia

Researchers are warning COVID-19 may have a deadly impact on the population, with reports of fewer screenings for the most common cancers. The Cancer Council’s Cancer Screening Saving Lives campaign is hoping to convince Australians to get regular tests this year. Mammograms, pap smears and colonoscopies are not necessarily the first thing on everyone’s to-do list. And in a time of widespread stress and financial uncertainty, the Cancer Council fears they will be even less appealing.
