Australians are being urged to get vaccinated by May, with a particularly hostile strain expected this year. Authorities want to prevent the repeat of the 2017 flu season, which is reported to be one the worst years on record for flu in Australia. With more than 56,000 cases diagnosed in Queensland alone, the World Health Organisation says the Brisbane strain, named after the city where it originated, could be deadly.
