Highlighting discrimination using arts

Artist Lavkant Chaudhary’s current mixed-media exhibition highlights the discrimination against Tharu community in Nepal. His work also gives a glimpse of how this Terai-based ethnic group was viewed by Ranas, who ruled Nepal over hundred years. Chaudhary is also involved in several projects to preserve Tharu arts and literature, which largely has been ignored by big players.
