Indra Ban came to Australia back in 1975 and went on to become the first Nepali to receive the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM). Over the past 50 years, she’s played a big role in guiding and supporting the Nepali community here. In this 10-part special series, we’ll hear about her journey and experiences in Australia. In this second episode, Indra Ban speaks to SBS Nepali about her first impressions of the country, from the food to the culture and way of life.
