More than 10 years ago when he was the Minister of State for foreign affairs in Nepal, Prakash Sharan Mahat thought about using the word "Nepali" instead of "Nepalese" to describe the people who live in Nepal. Now, after becoming the foreign minister, he has started the process of replacing "Nepalese" from all official documents in Nepal. He is now urging the members of Australia's Nepali community to help spread the word out to the wider community. During his first visit to Australia, foreign minister Mahat also met his Australian counterpart Julie Bishop in Canberra. He spoke to SBS Nepali.
