Members of Melbourne's Nepali community are being urged to contact police if they have been a victim of fraudulent activities on the local classifieds website Gumtree. It follows an arrest of a man allegedly involved in "numerous deception and frauds", reportedly, of over a dozen Nepali students in Melbourne. Deepa Rai from Nepalese Association of Victoria was involved with reporting the alleged scams to the police and she spoke to us about how people can get help.
