The FIFA World Cup 2026™ officially begins with host nation Mexico taking centre stage in the tournament’s opening match. The first game will be played on Friday 12 June at 5 AM AEST, where Mexico will face South Africa. The second Group A clash will follow later the same day at 12 PM between South Korea and Czechia. As the tournament begins with these Group A fixtures, Nepal’s football figure Rajukaji Shrestha had earlier shared his predictions during his visit to Australia a few months ago.
