With the increasing number of Nepalis in Australia, it has become more important for us to be able to provide assistance to those in need says Pratigya Adhikari. Adhikari, who is the coordinator of NRN Australia's women's group Narinikunja Australia, says last month upto 20 members of the community called the help line setup by NRNA. To raise awareness about the problems and the help that are available to members of the community, her organization is organizing a "walk for welfare - welfare for women" event across Australian cities. Pratigya Adhikari spoke to SBS Nepali about the event and the issues they hope to raise with such initiative.
