Kamala Sen Kusunda is the only known remaining speaker of the Kusunda language in Nepal. She has been involved as a resource person with the country's Language Commission and researcher Uday Raj Ale, and with her support, educational and audio materials for learning the Kusunda language have been developed. This led to the launch of the Kusunda language book ‘Pinda’ last February. Nepal correspondent Sewa Bhattarai spoke to Kamala Sen Kusunda about the book and preserving the language.
