NSW parliament passes laws limiting protests, but will they be allowed to stand?

A broad coalition of groups has expressed strong opposition, characterising the reforms as overreach and a serious threat to democracy. A constitutional challenge has been announced but the government is standing firm, setting the stage for a High Court challenge.
