When Melbourne resident Stephanie Woollard visited Nepal for the first time in 2004, the then 22-year-old decided to invest her last remaining $200 of her holiday money in helping seven disabled Nepali women. In 2006, Ms Woollard started a company called Seven Women in the Nepali capital Kathmandu. 13 years later she has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the general division, for her service to the international community through humanitarian aid.
