Sydney: Nepali Kite Festival brings joy to revellers

Kites flying, musical performances, cultural dance(jhaaki), laakhe dance, cart pulling, mo:mo, selroti, paani puri and what not. The Nepali Kites Festival was held at Rockdale Bicentennial Park on 13 October served it all to the visitors. The festival, organised by Guthi Australia, did give not only the distinct tang of Dashain, the biggest festival of Nepal but also carried the cultural legacy of the Newari community.
