On Saturday, 11 August 2023, the Teej Festival was organised by Nai Academy Australia in Granville, Sydney. Three women who have contributed to society in various fields were honored with the 'Nai Nari Gauravi Award-2023’. Participants who enjoyed cultural performances by local artists also stepped onto the dance floor to groove to Teej songs, telling SBS Nepali that such festivals provide them with a strong sense of connection to their culture.
