For outstanding contribution to empowering Bhutanese refugees and help refugees resettle in the state, New South Wales Premier Mike Baird has awarded the 2016 Multicultural Community Medals to Om Dhungel and Ram Khanal. Om Dhungel was awarded with the "Lifetime achievement" medal and Ram Dhungel was awarded with the "Youth medal". They spoke to SBS Nepali about their award and their work in the community.
